Rochdale’s sweet tooth just got a serious upgrade with the arrival of the Little Dessert Shop, opening with great fanfare, and free waffles, at 2pm on Saturday, October 11. Located at 73 Milkstone Road, the sugar-soaked spectacle promises indulgence on a viral level, and judging by the hype, you’d best arrive early (or with elbows ready).
The first 100 through the door get free waffles, while everyone else can take advantage of a half-price menu, which includes cookie dough gooey enough to require a spoon and a prayer, milkshakes so loaded they should come with a seatbelt, and enough sundaes to give dentists across Greater Manchester palpitations.
Co-founder Mu’Azzam Ali said he’s “excited” to join the Rochdale community, praising the town’s “character and pride”, and, presumably, its excellent glucose tolerance. The shop aims to become a go-to spot for family birthdays, post-dinner indulgence, or spontaneous 10pm brownie binges.
With national brand backing and hours from 11am to 11pm daily, Rochdale’s newest dessert hub might just be the best (and stickiest) excuse yet to skip dinner and head straight to dessert.
